The live-action version of ‘Lilo & Stitch’ is officially in theaters, and it has already earned an impressive $14 million in previews.

The remake tells the story of a lonely Hawaiian girl named Lilo (Maia Kealoha) and a runaway alien fugitive named Stitch (Chris Sanders) as they become friends and mend her fragmented family.

The film also stars Sydney Agudong as Nani, Zach Galifianakis as Jumba, Billy Magnussen as Pleakley, and Courtney B. Vance as Cobra Bubbles.

‘Lilo & Stitch’ is being generally received well by critics, boasting a 69 percent critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 92 percent audience score at the time of writing.

Overall, critics have been saying that the remake is missing some of the chaos and rambunctiousness of the original movie, but still keeps the heart and charm. In the end, ‘Lilo & Stitch’ appears to be one of the better Disney live-action remakes.
