    It was just past midnight in the Capitol Archives Dome, a cold, echoing place once dedicated to transparency. Now, its halls whispered with the sound of servers humming and historical records vanishing in real time. Beneath the floodlights, men in tailored uniforms with red eagle armbands escorted the Congressional Memory Unit down into the restricted vault.

    Above ground, the President’s latest command had already spread through The Feed. It flashed across every terminal, projected across billboards, and crackled from public address speakers embedded into the walls of train stations and shelters.

    Liam stood near one of the mirrored observation windows, watching as the Congressional clerks hesitated before entering the digital vaults. Even now, some still clung to oaths made under a Constitution that no longer ruled. One clerk, maybe twenty-five, clutched an old flash drive tight in her palm. The drive glinted, a ghost of memory in a world that had outlawed remembering.

    “Do you think they’ll really do it?” Aya asked from behind him. She had taken to whispering lately, even when alone. Surveillance paranoia was no longer paranoia.

    “They’ll do it,” Liam said, jaw tight. “They have families. Jobs. They know what happens to dissenters.”

    Aya lowered her eyes. “But to erase it completely… from every news archive, legal record, social post, testimony? Even the footage?”

    “They’ll start with the records. Then the footage. Then they’ll come for people like us. The ones who still remember.”

    Just then, the great archive screen above them flickered. One by one, entries vanished.

    January 6, 2021: No Data Available.

    Capitol Incident: Reclassified.

    Congressional Hearings: Expunged.

    National Guard Delay: No Record Found.

    One of the aides burst into tears. Another stared blankly, his face pale, as if witnessing the slow death of reality.

    On the Feed, hashtags began trending under state-mandated tags:

    Liam turned to Aya. “History isn’t written by the victors anymore. It’s tweeted by them. Pushed out through the algorithm, sealed in code.”

    He looked down at the cracked screen in his hands, where the last archived footage still survived—hidden behind seven layers of encryption and one dying battery.

    “To remember,” he said. “To bury truth deep enough that it outlasts the empire.”

    Outside, the Feed kept humming, louder now. Always louder.

    In this digital world those pictures are everywhere and pictures don’t lie. They’ll be showing them in classrooms 50 years from now.

    I suspect highly that there will be a future movie made of Trump, his cohorts, and their antics. Maga slime will be dug-up from everywhere, and the movie will detail what really happened. It will be popular worldwide indeed. Trump history is not going anywhere. Just like inmates in prison, Trump will lie about his crimes. Trump is a criminal just like they are.
