  1. Prescription medication is reimbursed at four different “tiers”: 30%, 50%, 100% and finally fixed-price (ryczałt). This is applied at check-out.

Auroxetyn is prescription-only and sold at the fixed-price tier. You can see the “proper” price of the medication without the rebate under “RAZEM PLN”.

  2. Some Prescription medicine are refunded/reimbursed on different tiers. You can see the full price and then under it You have “Rycz.” which means the fixed price after it is refunded by National Health Fund, which is 6,40 PLN for the one You bought.

  3. In america you get called communist for this as you breathe in the fumes expelled by bezos’s 10th jet.

  4. Public Healthcare and Health Insurance!

Or Communism as they call it in USA.

Polish people that support Konfederacja, a political party that advocates for private healthcare should check this out.

Hint – most of them would not be able to afford a more serious treatment.

  5. There’s a line starting with Rycz. which stands for ryczałt – that’s the price you need to pay, the rest of the cost is covered by the government. So 2 * 6,40 = 12,80

  6. Damn, I’m struggling to understand how to read it 🙈 Does it list the real price of the medicine and then the next line is what it costs to the end consumer? Too many lines with prices there 😅

  7. That basically means that people that work pay the rest of the price of your medicine.

  8. So that people could afford not to die from curable diseases. It might be a weird and foreign concept if you’re from the US.

  9. Probably you or your kid is qualified to get refunded meds. Auroxetyn is on the refund list for people under the age of 18, conditionally for:

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder with comorbidities such as tics, Tourette’s syndrome, anxiety disorders or with documented intolerance or failure of therapy with psychostimulants as part of a comprehensive treatment program in children from 6 years of age and in adolescents.

  10. A post the other day asked what people use AI for. Here’s how Gemini 2.5 Pro interprets this image:

    >This document is a “Paragon Fiskalny,” a standard fiscal receipt from a Polish pharmacy, “APTEKA TĘCZOWA,” located in Mysłowice. It details the purchase of medication, including pricing, co-payment information, and VAT (Value Added Tax).

    >…

    >Sprzed. opod. PTU B 298,80: This indicates the total value of sales subject to VAT rate “B”. This amount (298,80 PLN) corresponds to the full price of four packages of Auroxetyn (4 op * 74,70 PLN = 298,80 PLN). For VAT purposes, the total value of the dispensed medication is declared.

    >…

    >Podatek PTU 22,13: This is the total amount of VAT (Podatek od Towarów i Usług – Tax on Goods and Services) charged on the transaction. It is calculated on the total sales value (298,80 PLN * 8% / 108% ≈ 22,13 PLN).

    >…

    >SUMA PLN 12,80: This is the actual amount the customer paid at the pharmacy. This corresponds to the sum of the co-payments for the two sets of medication (6,40 PLN + 6,40 PLN = 12,80 PLN). The difference between the “RAZEM PLN” (full price including VAT) and the “SUMA PLN” (amount paid by customer) is covered by the National Health Fund (NFZ) reimbursement.

    >…

    >In Summary:

    >The customer purchased four packages of Auroxetyn 0.025g (28 capsules each), dispensed in two separate entries on the receipt. The full price of each package was 74,70 PLN. Due to reimbursement under the Polish health system (“Ryczałt /Rp.”), the patient paid a fixed co-payment of 3,20 PLN per package. Therefore, the total amount paid by the customer was 12,80 PLN. The receipt also details the VAT calculation based on the full price of the medication, as required for fiscal reporting.

    Spot on.

  11. Imagine you get to hospital get all necessary checkups and you get it free when real cost is 10k $.

  12. To się nazywa “refundacja leków”!
Widocznie na zachodzie nikt nie słyszał o takim zjawisku!
    Witamy w zaściankowej Polsce

  13. Because of taxes. We work, goverment takes a part and sometimes they return to us.

  14. the medicine is reimbursed by the National Health Fund

  15. Remember this each time some grumpy polak will try to tell you that polish healthcare is garbage.

  16. Auroxetyn cost 6,40 and the second one 6,40 too. The Polish Government pays the rest of the receipt.

  17. It’s reimbursed by the government/national healthcare. If your medicine is prescribed by a doctor and the drug itself is expensive the government covers part or in some cases all of the cost. This all happens without any action from you so you just get a nice low price at the end. This comes from the healthcare budget and ultimately taxes. Better use of gov money than constant warmongering for oil in my opinion

  18. Normalna cena dla dorosłego – za każde opakowanie 1 ryczałt, jeśli masz osobiste ubezpieczenie.
    Jaki masz problem ?

  19. Jesus Christ OP you had whole world to chose your place and you ended up in Mysłowice

  20. CZY TO NAWIĄZANIE DO ZNANEGO NA CAŁY ŚWIAT ZESPOŁU MYSLOVITZ???

  21. I am Polish and i still think the way this receipt is structured is weird and confusing, even though i know why OP paid how much they paid. It’s not very clear from the receipt. I am not sure why there is so much snark in the comments.
