It’s Labour so we can be sure this is a disaster somehow. Will be interesting to see exactly how
I’ve managed clinical depression for 17 years, services have gotten worse and worse over time, the last time I asked for a referral for counselling I waited nearly 6 months before giving up and going private, SHOUT 85258 plugged the gap. I feel forgotten and abandoned more often than not with NHS mental health services.
I’ll believe this when I see it, I can’t even book an appointment at my local GP at the moment because I’m stuck in a vicious cycle of being told by the receptionist I need to use the online system [while the online system is not working](https://imgur.com/a/thanks-gp-QtPhoLf) and doesn’t accept appointment requests for new or existing conditions.
The idea is great, but I’m sceptical about how they are going to achieve that 10 minute guarantee with any consistency.
As someone who works in A&E, we have been waiting for something like this for so long. It would really make things so much better for the MH patients we have. A noisy A&E is probably one of the worst environments if you’re in crisis

This is unarguably a positive thing for everyone involved.
I won’t hold my breath for the roll out or that it will be as advertised but I certainly hope it is.
