In the clip, the daughter, who pursues dentistry in Russia, quietly enters the space her father is in, approaching him from behind. Then, she gently covers his eyes and whispers something into his ear. The man doesn’t expect her there, so he fails to recognise it is her. The moment he turns around and sees her, he bursts into tears, overwhelmed. He rises from his seat and hugs her tightly, both of them sobbing in each other’s arms.
The video was shared by Instagram user @behnazzahmatkesh1, a dental student living in Volgograd, Russia. The video has since garnered 2.7 million views and 159 thousand likes.
