The EU is considering cutting more than 20 banks from SWIFT, the international payments system, as well as lowering a price cap on Russian oil and banning the Nord Stream gas pipelines as part of a new sanctions package that aims to increase pressure on Moscow to end its war against Ukraine.

1. EU needed to cut all Russian banks from Swift straight after the full scale invasion started. It would have prevented much destruction and saved many lives. They need to act asap. All banks are used for existing sanctions circumvention.

2. More doing less considering.

3. The logic of gradually racheting up sanctions to apply pressure is ludicrously inappropriate when dealing with a genocidal manic like Putin.

   100% maximum sanctions. Right now. Plus 100% more arms to Ukraine, air defense and behind the front lines logistic support. Now. Don’t threaten. Do it.

4. Explains the threats of tariffs from Trump. 

5. Someone is going to have the 20 banks added back. And whomever it is, they’re a US proxy/patsy. Watch closely.
