US-led peace talks could boost Rwandan processing of Congo minerals, sources say

Submission Statement: The US-Congo mineral deal is still in process of being negotiated, with the new added element of turning it into a 3 way deal that ends hostilities between rwanda and congo and establishes US security for both sides. “Their (Washington’s) point of view is simple: If Rwanda can legitimately benefit from Congo’s minerals through processing, it will be less tempted to occupy its neighbor and plunder its minerals,”

2. IMO: Adding Rwanda to the US-Congo Mineral Deal is definetly a good move for the trump admin. Rwanda is the biggest threat to the congo and making them both what amounts to protectorates keeps the peace and increases American Prestige and Power in the Region. Africa has the fastest growing population, but geographically is hard to industrialize or unite internally. for the time being adding them to the US economic sphere will benefit all sides and stabilize the political situation.
