2. Can’t believe how upset people on this sub are that one of their favorite terrorist groups is getting the boot.

   As a half-Lebanese with family in Lebanon, all I can say is GOOD. The Lebanese are tired of being dragged into wars that have nothing to do with them, tired of being intimidated by armed thugs, tired of watching their country turn to shit.

   Hezbollah has done NOTHING good for Lebanon, nothing good for any Arabs. All they do is kill, get themselves killed, and get everyone around them killed. Stupid, useless, evil bastards.

3. This isn’t going to go well. Hezbollah is stronger than Lebanon’s own army, by a large margin, even now. If they try to push this, they’re more likely to restart their own civil war than disarm all the militia’s.

4. Crazy how upset this sub gets at the notion of countries going after terrorist organisations, just bc they happen to be palestinian.

   Its like people rooting for al qaeda during the war in afghanistan.

5. Interesting. I wish them luck and hopefully at least this stage goes smoothly. They’d need a lot of outside help when they get around to disarming Hezbollah, which will be tricky at best, but…good luck.

6. A lot of people seem to forget that Hezbollah got a plurality of votes in the most recent (2022) general election in Lebanon. To say that all Lebanese people hate them just isn’t accurate.

7. Iran has let go of its proxies and Assads fall is an example of that. Hez will back off as well and the fact that they respected the ceasefire which Jizzrael has violated a million times is also an example of that. The region is stabilizing and uniting at a rapid pace. The Palestinians have held on as Israel failed to cleanse them in time, so ultimately Palestinians will get a political settlement. None of this is good news for the jizzraelis, the world has seen them for what they are, they can’t undo any of it.
