  1. It’s what door handles were made for (although they didn’t know that at the time).

  2. The come in handy if you are moving and you need something to put your used empty plastic takeaway tubs in

  3. I currently have 27 “bags for life”. Does that mean I now have 27 lifetimes?

  4. When I was moving out I donated my bag of bags to my mother. She informed me later that on one of my more drunken escapades I vomited in one of the bags, hid it in the centre of the bag of bags and apparently proceeded to fall asleep and forget it happened. She was not happy to find at best months old rotting vomit.

  5. It develops over years, adding to the character.

  6. We used to, though now we have to pay for them that scene is consigned to history. I’ve been using the same two bags for a decade+

  7. Oh, yeah. This is sooooooo British! Like, no other people on the planet have come up with the very obtuse and outside-of-the-box idea of sticking stray shopping bags in a bag and hanging them somewhere they are useful!

So this is the kind of sublime British culture you folks are seeking to protect by withdrawing from Europe and banning immigration, huh? I can see your point. Any kind of society that can up with this sort of brainstorm needs must have its authentic spirit protected.

  8. The “omni bag” is the one that holds all the others

  9. I remember in Big Bang Theory, Sheldon admitting he has a ziplock bag full of ziplock bags.
My wife just looked straight at me.
    So do I.

We also have three bags for life full of bags for life.
Don’t you just hate it when you get to the till & realise you’re just going to have to bloody well buy another?

  10. And a kitchen draw full of junk that “might be useful”

  11. Not me. I have a cardboard box of bags. Proper swanky, me.

  12. Yes, that’s very familiar to me. Grew up South African with British ancestry.

  13. I’m not sure to what end but Ocado buy them off you for 10p a bag, i think they’re trying to make the biggest ever bag of bags and go for the Guinness WR.

  14. I had something like this for many years but recently I have bought a small plastic bucket with a lid a now it looks better.

  15. Patent this invention, otherwise it will spread globally, like queuing.

  16. I try not to call the wife the bag of bags… sometimes she gets quite angry.. pushing that old shopping trolley up the high street..🤔
