Alika, the Estonian representative at Eurovision 2023, has been removed from the jury for Eurovision 2025 as she appears to have violated the EBU-based rules of the process.

More specifically, the singer seemed to be the 5th member of the Estonian national committee, according to Estonian media. The 5 members of the committee were:

Inderk Sarrap

Ott Lepland – representative of Estonia in 2012

Owe Petersell

Elina Nechayeva – representing Estonia in 2018

The national broadcaster, ERR, did not confirm the name of the singer but told Estonian media that:

“Votes for the four members were taken into account because one member violated EBU’s rules and their votes were not taken into account.”

It has been leaked in some media that Alika, might have shared her opinions about some performances of this year’s competition before the voting process and that was the reason why she was taken out of the whole process. This is a rule that wants the judge not to share their opinion long before the voting, and of course it is replaced.

It should be remembered that Alika with Bridges had won 8th place in the competition in 2023 in Liverpool.
