Summer is here and jam-packed with festivals all over Luxembourg. Take a look at our (very long) list and get planning. In fact there is something for almost every weekend.
Catch tributes to The Beatles, Abba and Queen at Hesper Parc, local bands Hunneg Strëpp and Schëppe Siwen at Open Air Stroossen, American rock band Train at City Sounds, and Skunk Anansie at the Festival de Wiltz. There’s blues, swing, hip-hop and Latin music festivals too.
Gen Z can party at Usina, Francofolies, WAAL, Absolut Bartreng, Tech ‘n’ Owl and the LOA closing season.
It’s not all music – check out the medieval festivals in Vianden, Useldange and Koerich castles, the marionette festival and ones for street food and steampunk.

Concert am Parc
Hesper Park
Who doesn’t love a good tribute band. You can catch several at Hesper Park, with The Beatles on 30 May, Falco on 6 June, The definitive rock show “Stadium” on 20 June, a tribute to Gianna Nannini on 4 July, The Magic of Queen on 18 July and Abba 99 on 8 August, with more details listed in the municipality’s agenda.
16 May–7 September
Plëss in Concert
Place d’Armes, Luxembourg City
The city’s bandstand was built in 1875, some 50 years before the square Place d’Armes which surrounds it. Over summer it will host brass and woodwind ensembles, jazz and classical acts, and big bands performing on Wednesdays and Fridays at 19:00 and at weekends at 11:00. Catch the dixie band of the Luxembourg Military Band on 6 June, the UGDA Big Band on 13 July, and the Mighty Big Band on 22 August. You can find a full programme here.
30-31 May
Usina
Nieschmelz, Dudelange
Head to this popular outdoor festival at Neischmelz, which has already announced some headline acts including Rea Garvey, Nosi, Deus, Jack Curley and Fil Bo Riva. It’s tickets only for May, but it’s free on the 31 May, with more information here.

GEM
Neimënster Abbey, Luxembourg City
At Neimënster, choreographer Anne-Mareike Hess presents the full trilogy On Fighting, Dreaming, and Weaving, alongside a newly released comic book co-created with illustrator Luca De Vitis. Through three solo and group performances, the trilogy explores the body as a battleground of identity, a space of resistance, and a site for transformation. You can buy tickets here.

Sport and Spillfest
Parc Hosingen
Indoor and outdoor games, a bouncy castle and all sorts of hands on activities to engage young and old alike in sport and games at this festival.
1-3 June
Bike days/World Bike Day
Schluechthaus, Luxembourg City & Haus vum Velo in Belval
Join ProVelo on 1 June for a family day where children can try their skills on a bike obstacle course, adults can try cargo bikes and other models. There will also be an evening film screening of ‘Motherload’, a documentary showing life from the perspective of mothers living a car-free everday life and the impact of cargo bikes.
On 3 June, World Bike Day, there’ll be the chance to get your bicycle repaired at the funicular station Kirchberg/Luxembourg, with free ice cream. At 17:00 you can then ride to the Haus vum Velo at Esch, and the start of the Bike Parade at 19:00 travelling across the Veloduct, with an after-ride party.
6-8 June
Francofolies
Esch-sur-Alzette
Already organised, this festival has announced its 2025 line up which includes Soprano, Timmy Trumpet, Julien Doré, Hamza and BigFlo & Oli. You can find the full line-up here, and there will be a campsite at Gaalgebierg again this year.

Koll in Action
Slate Museum, Martelange
Koll in Action is organised by Kollibri asbl at the historic site of Musée de l’Ardoise in Haut-Martelange. Saturday is the party with live music from Francis of Delirium, a roller disco, market and tours underground.
6-15 June
UA Days
Locations across Luxembourg
Organised by LUkraine asbl, this festival promotes the unity and solidarity of Ukraine and Luxembourg, with a chance to explore Ukrainian culture. The spotlight this year is on artists whose works were banned, repressed, or nearly lost to history. This includes composers like Vasyl Barvinsky and Borys Lyatoshynsky.

The opening concert on 6 June features their pieces at the Philharmonie Luxembourg. There’ll be a concert of Ukrainian classic music at Niederanven, a screening of “Slovo House. Unfinished Novel” at Cinémathèque, a performance by Ukrainian rap diva Alyona at Kulturfabrik, and you can learn more about capital Kyiv – from edible delicacies to music and arts at Rotondes. Echternach Abbey will host a carillon concert on 15 June. More information on dates and tickets can you found here.

Eat, beat and culture
Neischmelz, Dudelange
As if USINA was not enough, this venue has another full day, free festival with food trucks, electronic music and workshops in graffiti, metal jewellery and screen printing. Paphone will kick things off at 12:00, Ares Carter, Oxia and Popof heading the evening line up before DJ Netty Hugo finishes the night. More information here.

WAAL
Luxembourg City
We Are All Lost (WAAL) is “the place where lost souls converge, united in their quest for self-expression”. You can start this epic journey at 20:00 at Rives de Clausen, finishing at 03:00. Expect 50 DJs, multiple stages, vibrant visual art installations, eclectic music and a food market. What more could you want on a sunny day in June.

Wine, Taste, Enjoy
Moselle region
The Pentecost weekend sees Luxembourg’s wine cellars open up so you can spend your time there or on their terraces sampling wine, listening to music or poetry readings, viewing art exhibitions or taking guided walks. Find out more here.

Marionette Festival
Tadler
Two days of fun for families with shows, interactive workshops and puppet fun. There’ll be a creative playground, a carousel, puppet hide and seek, DJs and music from Hunneg Strëpp. You must book tickets to events, and you can do this here.
12 June
Open Air Stroossen
Head to Strassen’s Parc de l’Independence for a free night of music starting at 18:00 and featuring bands Hunneg Strëpp and Schëppe Siwen.
13-14 June
Labos Weekend
Rotondes, Luxembourg City
A finale to the creative season at this cultural centre, under the theme of Lost and Found, with the collaboration of professionals working in Theatrelabos. You can view the final creations at the Black Box, with more information here.

Kula Yoga Festival
Camping Fuussekaul, Heiderscheid
A three-day festival filled with meditation, yoga, gi gong, tantra and breath work. Enjoy the summer, relax in mindfulness, and take some excellent yoga classes with the masters. More information here.

Luxembourg Latin Dance Festival
Hamm
A line up of Latin dance couples from across Europe and some serious tunes from international DJs, with more than 18 hours of dance workshops so you can hone your skills (or die trying). This festival at Confiserie Namur in Hamm is the destination for lovers of Salsa and Bachata, with more information here.
13-21 June
Fete de la Musique
Luxembourg City & locations around Luxembourg
From local bands to something bigger, this festival brings together performers in towns and villages across Luxembourg (including a day-long event in Dudelange). In the capital there were tens of bands and musicians, performing in outdoor venues such as Place de la Constitution, but also indoor ones including De Gudde Wellen, Mirador and Konrad. My personal favourite last year – the Gipsy Kings at Mamer park.
The line up for different venues is still will be announced on 26 May.
14-15 June
Medieval Festival
Useldange
Medieval encampments, the chance to try food cooked on open fires, try medieval games or pick up some arts and crafts, watch metal forging and woodwork and see birds of prey and battles. This popular festival which also features music and a fire show takes place in the grounds of Useldange castle.
15 June
Fest vun der Natur
Kockelscheuer
Sustainability is the topic for this year’s festival at Haus vun der Natur, with 40 family friendly activities and information stands. It’s free and you can sample vegan food on site.
19 June and 2 July
Hip Hop Marathon
Rotondes/ Rockhal
The 14th edition of the marathon at Rotondes on 19 June, comprising around 180 participants. Young people will have the chance to learn the disciplines of hip hop with professionals and express themselves on stage in rap, dance or beatbox, in addition to wall graffiti. Or head to Rockhal for 2 July, with entries from schools open now.
20-23 June
Street Food Festival
Remich
Head to the esplanade for an array of food trucks and live music. Try Touareg rolls, Italian Porchetta, South-east Asian fried chicken, and Argentinian empanadas. Wear an elasticated waistband.
21 June
Fete de la Musique
Opderschmelz, Dudelange
Cali, Maxïmo Park and Schëppe Siwen headline this free festival, which has been going since 1994, and is the best place to catch local amateur and professional bands. Entry is free to this multi-stage festival featuring ones for acoustic, blues, and the Live Tomorrow, Why Not, and Parc stages amongst others. You can find a full list of bands here.

Rotten Stones Festival
Berdorf Amphitheatre
Head to the cave for some hardcore rock and metal with bands from Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg, including Godslave, Follow the Hunt, and Scarlet Anger. It’s free, but you have to bring your own earplugs.
22-23 June
City Sounds
Champs de Glacis, Luxembourg City
This two day, free festival of live DJs, international acts and local bands coincides with National Day celebrations. So far the line-up includes Oliver Heldens, Klingande and American rock band Train, with more to be announced, so watch this space.

Konstfestival
Lellingen
On National Day, head for some art, culture and nature at this lively and colourful open-air art gallery and festival which takes over the village of Lellingen. About 100 artists take part in a live painting competition, giving you a unique opportunity to see painters at work, but there’ll also be street performances from acrobats, circus acts and blues bands, in addition to interactive installations.
27 June-20 July
Festival de Wiltz
Opening with a meeting of culture, gastronomy and music at the Beim Schlass restaurant with DJs Leen and Ralitt, the festival on different days has a line-up of José Gonzaléz, Carminho, Skunk Anansie, and finishes with Element of Crime. There is also a performance of The Gruffalo in German, flamenco from Maria Moreno, and Circus Baobab. You can purchase tickets here.

Hip Hop’n’Air Festival
Petange Skatepark
De Läbbel and the Commune of Petange have come together to create a free celebration of hip-hop with performances plus graffiti workshops. The line-up includes Don Gio, Evy and Krizla, plus many more. You can find the full line-up here.

Wake Up festival
Medernach
Another free festival, which will be in its fourth year, this year’s line-up includes The Ferocious Few, Djane Haasi. Originally designed as a community affair for residents with the festival in the beautiful square next to Medernach’s church, you can park at the sports hall and grab a shuttle bus to the festival site. Differdange
Place du Marché will be the spot for this free festival which features music from Maz Universe, Francis of Delirium, and One Last Time. It starts at 17:00 and finishes at 01:00 with more information on the line up here.

Festival Alter Musek
Vianden
This new festival takes place in various locations in Vianden, with music performances, a banquet, animations, and even a walking concert. Each event has tickets, and you can find out more here.

Luxembourg Open Air by den Atelier
LuxExpo
LOA kicked off with DJs and crowds in Esch-Belval but now for the big name concerts at LuxExpo, kicking off with Green Day on 30 June, followed by Sting, Martin Garrix, Damso, and Guns ‘n’ Roses.

Beckerich Mill
A programme of activities for young and old, with guided tours of the new energy museum, workshop, information stands and Potty Lotty. There’ll be live music too. You can find a full itinerary here, and the event is free.

Kinnekswiss Loves…
Get your blanket and grab a patch of grass at Kinnekswiss park for free classical open-air concerts. Previous years have featured Ronan Keating and Stewart Copeland. The Philharmonie will play live on 5 July and you can see the programme for that here. The rest of the line-up is yet to be announced.

Screaming Fields has been showcasing Luxembourg’s rising stars since 2010, with an emphasis on young bands and musicians, with a choice of hip-hop, pop, rock, metal and electro.

Mamer entertains its residents once again with a festival which includes a tribute to John Bon Jovi on 5 July, a talent show, Elton John and the Joels on 12 July, and a Latin night on 19 July.

Luxembourg Pride Street Fest
Esch/Belval
Once again Pride Week (5-13 July) will finish with a free festival full of music, parades, drag acts and more. The line-up is yet to be announced but in previous years it’s included Conchita Wurst, The Weather Girls, and Boy George with Culture Club.

Beautiful Decay
Koerich Castle
Now in its fourth year, this festival set in the grounds and remains of Koerich castle. Bands play alternately inside and outside the castle, with Patrice and Space 92 on the Flavour Stage, Tuys and BBY on the Castle stage. The festival also has a craftwork village with 50 different artists, and a kids’ festival that takes place in front of the castle.

A very popular family festival with something going on around the clock. Tickets must be purchased in advance (no sales on site). Artists on the include Hunneg Strëpp, Collectif Sur Mesure, Theatre de la Toupine, and plenty of acrobats and street theatre performers.

Blues Express
Lasauvage and Fond-de-Gras
Lasauvage and Fond-de-Gras welcome the increasingly popular Blues Express one-day hardcore blues and jazz festival which is free and now in its 21st year. There’ll be 11 stages and some 40 bands, including Marcus King, Manfred Mann’s Earth Band, Wolf Mother, and Big Daddy Wilson.

Flow Music Festival
Parc um Belval
Three-day, free festival sees Tasso & Mitch on day one, De Läb and Mambo Schinki on day two, Chaild and Balthasar-Rosenfeld-Moreira on day three. There are plenty more bands and DJs and you can check the line-up here.

Eastcoast Festival
Metert
A Ramborn Cider stage and a TankLux one, this free festival has food trucks and free buses. The Tanklux stage has Fred Barreto Group, Scarlet Anger, and Larry Bonifas, whilst the Ramborn stage will have tunes supplied by Dr Gonzo.

Blues ‘n’ Jazz Rallye
Pfaffenthal, Clausen and Grund
One of the best events of the year in my opinion is the Blues ‘n’ Jazz rallye where the whole of Luxembourg’s old town is transformed into a hub of festivity. There were several stages last year and the highlight was Corinne Bailey Rae. Stages are usually at Place Auguste Engel and Neimenster in Grund, at Melusina, Rives de Clausen and Parc Mansfeld in Clausen and at Parc Odendahl, Sang a Klang and Théiwesbuer in Pfaffenthal. The line-up is yet to be announced.

Tech ‘n’ Owl

Rick Horsmans, Luminé, Samwell, Flex Orlando & Freezy, and Anya, this free festival is organised by the Commune of Petange and starts at 18:00.

Proving you don’t have to travel to find a festival, this summer one is back and features a full month of concerts, DJ sets, a family day and other performances. Clervaux Castle Summer Music Festival
A free summer festival featuring different performers on different dates. It kicks off with jazz rock from the Benoit Martiny Band, followed by world music from Nomad the Group, folk from D’Halunken, electro from Belardi-Klein duo, pop from Nea Lone, and EMO from Loivos.

City Open Air Cinema
Place Guillaume II – Luxembourg City
Catch cult classics and cinematic masterpieces at the City Open Air Cinema watching the giant screen (up to 740 seats). The full programme will be available in early July and screenings will start at 21:00 each night.

Mëttelalterfest
Vianden
The 23rd edition of the Medieval Festival at Vianden will include 100 participants who will fill the castle will medieval life, including camps, fire and combat shows and birds of prey demonstrations. There’ll be music and juggling, and a medieval market selling food delicacies amongst other items.

Jailhouse Rock am Sauerpark

Two-day music festival, although the line-up is yet to be announced there’ll be food trucks, a ‘50s style hair salon, Elvis memorabillia, and you can camp overnight. More information here.

Steampunk Convention Echternach
The 8th edition of this convention in the historic market square of Echternach with the theme “La transformation de la Petite Marquise”.

e-Lake Festival
Echternach
Grab your tent and pitch up for this popular three-day free festival. There are two stages (one a natural amphitheatre) and an outdoor dance floor, plus a campsite. The line-up is due to be announced in June so watch this space.

Picadilly
Stadtbredimus
Three day wine festival (Pica = sparkling, dilly= crazy) in honour of this drink a bit like Kir Royal, with partying on Friday and Saturday and a family day on Sunday.

Summer Dream
Steinfort
This free festival in Steinfort’s beautiful mirador area sees Lionlion, Carisa Dias, Nikki Ninja & Afrobeathoven amongst other artists perform. There’ll also be a magic forest (tickets required) kids activities and workshops. You can find the full programme here.
16-17 August
Crow Field Festival
Remerschen
Now in its third year, this festival mixes music with art, and is set in the vineyards with a great view of the Moselle River. The line-up is yet to be announced and camping is available at very low prices.
22 August-10 September
Schueberfouer
Champ du Glacis
The largest funfair in Luxembourg and the Greater Region covering 4 hectares with rides, food stalls, games and other attractions and open from noon until 01:00 every day. Check out the big wheel, Lammy the mascot and of course the thrill rides and local delicacies including gromperekichelcher and fried fish.
13-14 September
LOA Closing
Metzeschmelz, Esch/Schifflange
Close of the season festival for Luxembourg Open Air moves this year to a former industrial site and starts at 13:00 on Saturday 13 September. You can expect a big party, with plenty of DJs, a chill out area and more. The line-up is yet to be announced.

Ettelbrooklyn Street Fest
Ettelbruck
Music, concert, acrobatics, dance, circus, workshops, and a celebration of urban and graffiti art, including a performance from the Kitchen Prince, a mix of street theatre, circus and rock concert. The date, line up and locations are yet to be announced, so you should follow here for more information.

Long Live the Summer 2023
LuxExpo the Box, Kirchberg
The sustainable lifestyle event created by the Ville de Luxembourg, LuxExpo and the Chamber of Commerce, promises immersive workshops, tantalising food and unique pop-up stores. There’ll also be vegan and veggie dishes from a selection of food trucks and the chance to dance the night away to salsa rhythms and catch some live music. Children can try their hand at kids’ workshops and sustainable crafting, and everyone can join the wellbeing workshops whilst teens can get stuck into the racks of second-hand clothing.

Swing the Abbey

Back for the 5th edition of Swing the Abbey, the line-up includes Lindy Hop, African dance and live music.

Medieval Festival
Koerich
Head to the castle ruins of this village in the west of Luxembourg for a medieval encampment, games and music.

Anno 1900 Steampunk Convention
Fond-de-Gras
Dress up and head back in time for this popular Steampunk convention held at Fond-de-Gras. There’ll be music and artistic performances plus a Victorian market in the Paul Wurth Hall selling jewellery and clothes.

Kropemannsfest
Redange
Traditional folk festival celebrating the mythical water man with some family fun. There’ll be ceramics, jewellery, and culinary delicacies.
