The title suggests that Trump is a moron because he says provably untrue things about Biden, which misses the point entirely.
Maybe Trump believes the things he says about Biden before he says them. Maybe he doesn’t. Maybe he comes to believe them because he says them. But he’s always going to say them, _regardless_ of what he believes. His driving impulse is to attack the enemy, continuously and from as many angles as possible. Whether the accusations are true or even plausible is completely irrelevant.
And to a certain degree it works, _even outside of MAGA_. If you give ten thousand reasons why Biden is terrible, you’re going to hit on some that even Democrats agree with just by sheer chance. And even when people don’t agree with any specific accusation, the constant drumbeat of “Biden is terrible, Biden is terrible” can seep into their pores and become part of the background radiation of their thoughts. Even if you’re anti-Trump, I can almost guarantee that your opinion of Biden is more negative today than it would have been otherwise.
