Unite: Police raid powerful trade union’s headquarters as part of bribery and fraud investigation

    The contract to build the hotel was given to McCluskey’s mate Paul Flanagan, and the health and safety contract to David Anderson the son of the ex-Liverpool Mayor Joe Anderson.

    Flanagan, David, and Joe Anderson have all been arrested on suspicion of bribery relating to corruption at Liverpool council involving property deals.
