Yeap my package has been in finland 6weeks and i still dont have it=)
“Some parcels have already been returned to their senders. This happens when Posti’s 90-day maximum storage period for uncleared shipments expires.”
I have had this happen to me too a few years ago so this is not an exception. Sucks when I constantly communicated with them and they assured me it will move eventually, but it didn’t.
30 days was the limit to request my money back from seller, but why would I do that when it was not his fault? And besides, posti claimed it will move soon, several times, so no worries I thought.
It didn’t, 90 days passed and they sent it back. I contact seller, he claims nothing arrived. I contact posti, they reassure me, they sent it back. They told me the old tracking number will not work now, but I could not get a new tracking number, so I can only wait and see.
I contact seller after two weeks again. Nothing has arrived. I file a claim with posti, they tell me sender must send a description of package. I contact seller again for a description, he refuse. We had both been professional and nice to each other so this was a surprise. Then I tried one more time with detailed instructions how to file a claim on posti, since this must be done by the sender, not me.
He utterly refuse to accept that a postal service can be this totally shit so he believes I’m pulling some scam and he sends screenshot of reporting me ebay profile.
I try again with posti but they refuse to cooperate because sender must contact them.
Never heard anything of that report though, would have sucked if my 10+ year account with 100% feedback would get deleted due to postis incompetence.
And just recently I even had one ebay seller REFUSE to send to finland even though it says it ships to Finland. He apologized and told me due to past experiences he is not dealing with our logistics again 😀
In a way I understand him, posti is by far the worst service I can imagine, and on top of that it is funded by our tax money.
It does not exactly make our country look good. But then again, neither does our healthcare, education and job situation right now lol.
Mine is one of those yay!
Well, the package is coming from Japan, the article clearly states ‘stuck in customs’ therefore Posti is far from solely blamable.
Did you peeps even read it, or just scramble to bash Posti?
My past experiences have also had difficulties between these two, but who knows, perhaps the mother in law was sending food products, which might cause complications at customs? (Based on the picture of Japanese condiments)
All my stuff from AliExpress has been stuck with Posti for about a month. I just got one of them a couple of days ago. The article says there is some new requirement that the overseas senders are not implementing correctly, so hardly Posti’s fault.
Old news.
However, my package, which had been stuck since 25.02, was liberated on 23.05. So this is the estimation for you.
It was a package combined of 3 from the same UK seller. It went through (eBay?) regional UK terminal. It was an IOSS package, but according to Tulli and Posti, it wasn’t marked as one.
Three months after arrival, I got a notification and cleared it. It must start moving to me from the Posti terminal tomorrow, Monday.
The sender, from his point of view, did everything correctly. Probably eBay, or their logistics fucked up. Interesting fact: other packages from the UK, USA and Japan I ordered to an Estonian address are coming through the same EU customs without issues. They enter the EU in different places, and various carriers are used.
