  1. I’m sure by the time these guys recognize Palestine as a state, Israel will have already killed all of the Palestinians in Gaza and they claim Gaza as their own and now have a lot of beachfront property for rich people to go too. It’s good that they are finally moving toward this but at the same time, it feels like it’s a too little too late stance and they are only doing it just to go “see, we did something”

  2. Tbh I hate that this is “talk” and not ” action” especially given that it’s pretty fucking late to start recognizing Palestinian statehood when Israel is working on finishing off what’s left of their state.

I think there are dozens of reasons why a two state solution is just not feasible anymore but holy fuck the fact that to this day a majority of countries, especially western ones do not recognize Palestine but totally recognize Israel is one of them.

  3. Maybe if Palestine spent less time playing victim and more time building an actual functioning society, they wouldn’t be sat around waiting for symbolic scraps from Lammy and Macron.

  4. > Arms are not getting to Israel that could be used in Gaza

Sure. You and your buddies keep lining your pockets with the profits from a genocide far away, while your own people at home can barely make ends meet. Awesome.

Actual pieces of shit. Just like all the media outlets changing their tone all of a sudden. I mean sure better late than never but this is certainly not because they started caring about Palestinians. The majority of the international community already recognizes Palestine. While the UK for example pulls shit like this

    > The UK House of Commons voted in favor of recognizing Palestine as a state in 2014, as a contribution towards achieving a negotiated two-state solution. However, the UK government maintained its policy of reserving the right to recognise Palestine bilaterally at a more opportune time for peace efforts.

Wasn’t serious enough back then apparently. Oh well. Maybe if there’s a genocide we pick the topic up again. No promises tho.

  5. A bit sad to start recognizing Palestine the exact moment when Palestine is being genocided and destroyed by Israel. I guess it’s easy to do when there won’t ever be real consequences
