I wonder what people who likely believe climate change is real but wants to expand fossil fuel consumption for personal or political reasons genuinely thinks should be done about the people who live in countries close to sea level. Hundreds of millions or billions of people having to relocate themselves is going to affect everybody. It would destabilize the whole world. Not to mention all the lost agricultural productivity is going to stress the global food supply chain. Political instability, market volatility, higher prices – how wealthy and secure would you have to be to be insulated from that?
