Don’t know why autism would be an issue for piloting. I would definitely trust someone whose only interest and hobby was planes since adolescence, who would then become a pilot. I bet they’d know everything down to the size of each bolt on it. As someone with autism, we get really deep with what we like. And there are so many autistic people doing normal high stress level jobs around the world. Sometimes autism can be a superpower to give you an abnormal level of interest and knowledge in a subject. Like yeah they could also be socially inept sometimes, but I don’t care if my pilot doesn’t make friends well. All I care is the dude or gal knows their job like it’s the only thing they care about.
