  1. except there’s no snake or oil, just smoke and mirrors

  2. Yep wants massive tax cuts but will increase wellfare. It’s pollox

  3. The ITV News coverage from last night of this particular aspect was one of the most nauseating displays of sycophancy I have ever seen. Not an iota of scrutiny, just reiterating his fake working class credentials.

Even if Reform were to follow through with scrapping the two-child benefit cap, this is nothing more than a case of a stopped clock being right twice a day.

  4. Remember when he used to charge money for cameo messages 💀.

Or went on I’m a celebrity get me out of here?

We are a desperately unserious country.

  5. Is this finally when we’ll also get our £350m a week for our NHS Nige?

    What a fucking weapon.

  6. That’s exactly what he is. He can make his mouth say anything

  7. Opportunistic? Sure. But Labour are the reason he has the opportunity. Anyone in Farage’s position would do the same

  8. This man can’t win hahahaha

So if labour say they’re going to do it, everyone would be cheering, but just because reform say it, you’re all going mental?

The audience being bigoted is the reason we have bad politics.

  9. Before it was demonising immigrants, demonising benefits scroungers was the favourite scapegoat of the right wing.

If immigration was net zero we’d be right back there.

Anything to stop people realising they’ve been victims of a centuries long distraction burglary.

  10. If farage is selling snake oil, what’s starmer selling? Sh*t oil probably

  11. Reform really thinks that cutting the aide budget would magically free up money for every problem.

  12. Nigel Farage has been peddling bovine excrement for decades, he is a self serving grifter that believes no low is too low as long as he’s making some cash.

Brexit was an unmitigated disaster and people want to put him and his political party that are just working down a checklist of Trump talking points in power?

Britain is already struggling because of Farage and his ilk, allowing him anywhere near government will be a disaster akin to Trump and his dismantling and mismanagement of the US.

    Edit: spelling.

  13. He and his MPS all voted against the workers rights act

  14. *Just* the welfare vow?

    What about everything else?

  15. Him being called “a snake oil salesman” is new news? Pfft.

  16. He is very much like Boris Johnson who sees which way people are going runs a head and says follow me.

  17. You only need to look at his Brexit promises to see what a disaster Farage getting into
    Power would be.

Putin on the other hand would regard that as a greater victory for him than Brexit.

  18. I’m at the stage where I hope they get in. Like Brexit the amount of people quoting shit is unreal. They are just a carbon copy of Republicans in the US and if people can’t see through the facade then fuck them. Is it too early to have a r/leopardsatemyfaceUK board yet?

  19. Of course it is snake oil.

It is easy to throw popcorn from the stands and level criticism at government whilst promising the moon on a stick to everyone you meet.

His politics is openly for sale, he will say anything to get a vote and avoids any semblance of accountability.

  20. Only a couple of months ago he was interviewed in Bloomberg talking about how he would shake up our benefits system saying, with a glint in his eye, we have too many carrots and not enough sticks.

He is saying one thing to the money and another to the muppets.

  21. But it works regardless. He is like Teflon with all these comments because his voters do not care at best and think it is an attack by the establishment at worst (even though Farage is a perfect example of the establishment). You cannot reason with his voters because they did not reason themselves into voting for Farage to begin with.
