President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili and all residents of this country on Independence Day, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
“For a millennium, the Georgian people – who were at the intersection of the interests of large empires – fought hard for their statehood, courageously defended the identity of their native land and believed in its bright future,” the message of greetings reads.
As noted by the President, Minsk highly appreciates Tbilisi’s efforts to preserve its sovereignty and believes that they will definitely contribute to Georgia’s prosperity.
“I am confident that the long history of friendly Belarusian-Georgian relations should become a solid foundation for the resumption of mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries, promote the well-being of our peoples, as well as stability and security on the Eurasian continent,” the Head of State stressed.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Mikheil Kavelashvili good health, happiness and inexhaustible energy, also wishing peace and harmony to all Georgians.
