Following the completion of unexploded ordnance search and neutralisation work, preparatory work for the construction of the southern section of the Rail Baltica main line in the Iecava infrastructure maintenance point area is gradually gaining momentum.
To date, the planned deforestation work has been completed at the Iecava infrastructure maintenance point construction site and stump removal work has begun. The foundation structure for the temporary office has been prepared, 16 office modules have been delivered and are currently being installed.
The removal of topsoil, the creation of embankments and the construction of load-bearing structures have begun.

During the construction of the main track, the approximately 16-hectare area of the Iecava infrastructure maintenance point will serve as a strategic logistics base and temporary office for the ERB Rail team working on the southern section of the Rail Baltica main track from Misa to the Lithuanian border.
