UK draws up list of nine countries for migrant ‘return hubs’ plan

1. This runs into the same issue as the Rwanda scheme. A court will almost certainly say that it risks refoulment.

2. Kosovo, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and North Macedonia are the countries named.

   Also cites unnamed “other countries”.

3. Why not just send them back to their original countries or just let them try apply for asylum in another country nearby rather than set up what are basically expensive, concentration camps that almost certainly break human rights laws

5. Have they asked first this time or will we get to see them say no publicly again?

6. Would it not be easier to damn well did the International laws, and turn the boats around?

7. It doesn’t seem that they have asked the countries in question if they want to host these hubs?

   I’d be a bit pissed of if I was them!

8. Outer Mongolia, Peru, Baffin Island, and Pakistan, would have been better choices. 

9. Ok Im going to put this out there, why not create camps on uninhabited Shetland Islands. Its in the UK and the islands are secure. We would just need to create mobile home to house them.

   They’ll be safe while the await processing.

10. Any clue as to costs for this farce? Wasn’t it £750 million to send 4 people voluntarily to Rwanda. Can’t wait to see the maths this time. To compare we could have bought those people citizenship in Tahiti and given them £250,000 seed money and it wouldn’t have cost £4million.
