Adviser to Ukrainian ex-President Yanukovych shot dead in Madrid • FRANCE 24 English

The morning routine of this wealthy Madrid suburb was shattered by multiple gunshots. At least three bullets struck Andre Pnoff at 9:15 as he was getting into a car, apparently having just dropped off his children at a nearby private school. Emergency services worked to revive him, but it was too late. They tried to revive him, but due to the severity of his gunshot injuries, at least three gunshot wounds, they were unable to reverse the situation, and he was confirmed dead. Spanish authorities said that an adviser to former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was shot dead on Wednesday when gunmen targeted him outside the American School of Madrid. Andrii Portnov, 51, was identified as the victim by Spain’s Interior Ministry.
