Australian shares were set to open higher on Tuesday, helped by potential gains in mining stocks as global sentiment improved after U.S. President Donald Trump delayed his tariff threats on the European Union.
The local share price index futures (YAPcm1) rose 0.2%, a 50-point premium to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index XJO close. The benchmark ended flat on Monday.
New Zealand’s benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index NZ50G was flat in early trade.
