One of the UK’s leading specialists in bi-metal bonding and precision stamping for the electrical contact market is targeting 20% increase in European-wide sales by capitalising on its’ rich global trading heritage.
Over the course of the next few months, , Samuel Taylor Limited (STL) representatives will embark on multiple visits throughout the Eurozone encompassing countries such as France and Germany, with a presence at industry leading global expo’s and visiting customers new and old within sectors such as rail, automotive, defence, and mobile/ off-grid power solutions.
For a second year running, STL will also be part of Pavillion of SMEs representing the United Kingdom at The Battery Show Europe 2025 in Stuttgart.
The event will run from the 3rd to the 5th of June, showcasing the latest in government-backed advanced automotive battery technologies and manufacturing processes to the European market.
In addition, STL will be present at the SIFER expo in France from the 24-26th June, France’s only international event dedicated to rail, bringing together suppliers and manufacturers with the market’s top buyers.
Increased presence within the Eurozone follows recent STL visits to Indonesia and the UAE for a company that for over 60 years has successfully exported 85% or more of its’ business overseas.
STL’s overseas trade activity spans four continents, providing Electrical & Precision Engineering, Precious Metal Contact and Contact Materials expertise to various markets on a world-wide basis.
Robert Gordon, Managing Director at STL comments: “85% of STL products are directly sent outside of the UK, which sees us supply bi-metal and precision stamped components to over 26 countries worldwide, including Europe, the United States, China and the Middle East.
“Customers trust us as a global partner that can deliver their exacting requirements due to our rich engineering and experienced, efficient logistics team.”
STL’s international sales tradition has previously been acknowledged by leading UK publication the Sunday Times as part of the International Track 100 league table.
The International Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s mid-market private companies according to their international sales, with the minimum sales threshold having just been increased from £5m to £25m.
Gordon continues: “We are proud to be returning to represent the UK at The Battery Show Europe in Stuttgart and welcome new conversations, following a successful event 12 months prior. Europe accounts for almost 40% of our trade and we are privileged to have many long-standing customers and partners within the Eurozone region.
“Much is currently being said in the media regarding the UK becoming a more desirable manufacturing partner or serving as a distribution hub for goods entering the EU from outside due to lower tariffs than those imposed on other nations.
“However, at STL we have always found that our openness to international trade, attention to detail regarding local customs, willingness to go the extra mile in building long term partnerships and our expertise in global logistics has meant that we have been a partner of choice for decades for bi-metal bonding and precision stamping within the electrical contact market.
“We look forward to conversations regarding how we can continue to do so at the upcoming events and customer visits over the next few months.”
