1. I know how disappointed some of you are.

   But I told y’all not make yourself look stupid.

2. So presumably working on the assumption he was some cunt who got angry at the crowds, got some grief back, and then had the worst red mist ever and just thought “fuck everything”. 

3. Guessing at what happened after seeing a few angles:

   He’d somehow stupidly driven into the blocked off road with an idea to make his way through the crowd, then the first thing seen is football fans shouting at him and throwing stuff at his car.

   His door is opened while still in motion and suddenly panics when people rush and hurl projectiles his way…

   He floors it hitting at least one bystander without looking or thinking and further panics. You see him stop then accelerate again when he realises he’s about to get mobbed…

   Then stops again when he gains a singular moment of clarity that he is seriously injuring everyone in his path.

   This is all in about ten seconds. Just stupidity and panic – not terrorism.

   EDIT -Also looking at the video again and again, it seems like the car was already pointing in the direction of the crowd and (after plowing through a dozen people) he does try to correct and make it for the clearing.

   I think he’d have continued to mow into the thick of it if his intentions were truly malicious.

   Just a total fucking idiot.

This is only tangentially related, but I often wonder how much harder the endless online speculation, and the immediate reaction of *some* people to sow misinformation, makes the police’s job – especially after Southport and the riots, they are almost forced to give out a statement at speed, when years ago they would’ve had more time to establish more facts.

   I assume it also makes the job harder for all other emergency staff, but the police specifically are the ‘spokespeople’ for everyone in situations like this and we’ve all seen what a delay (even if it was a delay for a valid and generally good reason – eg legal protections for minors) can lead to if misinformation or incomplete information takes over. 

6. It should be a relief to us all that this isn’t another terror attack. 

   It’s an absolute horror what’s happened and I’m glad that no one has yet been reported as killed. 

   Hopefully it stays that way. It will likely be best that we await a full report into why he actually drove into the crowd rather then speculating. 

7. He drove into the most crowded areas, he didnt even try to take the way that had the least people in his way.

8. Regardless of what happened, it was never going to be labelled as terrorism given the perpetrator was white.

Hopefully the mob gets done aswel if you watch one of the first videos a guy actually ushers the driver to reverse back out of the road and you see the car try to reverse then the mob starts attacking the car throwing bottles and cans and trying to open the door thats when the guy starts beeping for people to move out the way and the mob attacks more making the driver panick and drive forward the drunk mob who started this need to be held accountable aswel
