In Finland, the far-right Finns Party which won second place at the previous parlamentary election with 20.2% of votes has now collapsed to 10.5% in the latest Verian poll and 11.4% in the latest Taloustutkimus poll while Social Democrats, Liberals and The Left Aliance continue to grow.

  1. If everyone on the right is considered far right then the term far right loses its meaning. And I dont think its helpful, since we do have real far right parties in europe.

The Finns party is immigration critical. And populist. And dumb. But they are not far right by any meaningful metric.

  2. Was there ever a reason to vote for the far Right in Finnland ?

  3. What is main reason , for your opinion, fall down  moving for Finns Party?

  4. If Finns Party is far-right, then Left Alliance is ultra-left?

  5. Which was their attitude towards Russia? I think it may have influenced the vote a lot

  6. Lemme guess, they turned out to be just a populists with no real program and ideology except for hate

  7. How to get rid of alt right? Let them rule, somehow one liners and single point solutions might not be enough to manage a country.

  8. The far right surge across Europe is largely a myth. When they grow in one place, they collapse in another. It’ll be near impossible to create a majority.

  9. It was the same in Canada before election but Trump and his supporters showed the whole world what it means to be a far-right lunatic.

  10. I’m sorry, who are the liberals that are rising? There’s no big liberal party besides a small one that doesn’t have any seats in parliament. If you’re referrign to the center party as liberal, it’s just incorrect because they are distinctly the agrarian/rural party defined by their history of being the party of the rural areas.

  11. It’s sad that these parties are elected before people realise how bad they are.
