  1. So he got an apology and a policy change to prevent the issue further but he chose to threaten, harass, and make accusations of IRA membership?
    Sounds like he got the outcome he worked towards.

  2. Some people manufacture problems for themselves.

    I wonder how successful British people are with these type of claims? They are, or were, the largest group on non-Irish in Ireland.

    I’m very impressed by Anord Mardix’s HR department. That must have been awkward AF and they did everything by the book with grievance procedures and especially documenting interaction with Weir.

    He got an apology, staff training and policy changes, they were even magnanimous and gave Weir extra annual leave to see him right and he emailed them saying he “could not work for the IRA”.

    The solicitor Maeve Griffin also seems to be very good from that. Laying out step by step how reasonable Anord Mardix was and how unreasonable Weir was.
