Hello friends from Bulgaria, I am intending to travel to Sofia (and Samokov) to hike the Rila mountain trail. I read online that it takes 4 days to hike. I am leaning towards that being true, so I am asking for any tips that I could get in my journey here. I do not drive.Tips such as the supermarket or convenience stores that are usually frequented by the locals (i.e. you guys), and what are some things to watch out for. (I read that there are some 700 bears too, and I hope to be as careful of them).

Also, I’ve been getting some issues with booking my bus from [https://bgrazpisanie.com/](https://bgrazpisanie.com/) from Dupnica to Sapareva Banya/Samokov/Borovets…

  1. Can’t help you out, but ill comment 😀 hopefully the algorithm can help you with showing your post to more people.

  2. I hope you are planing that for the sumer. Hiking in Rila in spring could be quite unpleasant expiriance.

  3. Booking a bus online is not an option for most routes, and certainly not for local routes in the countryside. Just buy tickets when you arrive at the bus station. In smaller towns with no station tickets are usually sold on the bus.
