Arixa Capital Advisors LLC—a bridge, renovation, and construction loan provider based in California—was sued by a former employee for failing to prevent a data breach that occurred last year.
“Arixa Capital has accrued approximately 20 years of data and contracts,” but failed to maintain sufficient data security practices to protect that collection, Douglas Cochrane said in a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
