His relationship with his family may be crumbling, but Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship is stronger than ever. The couple, who married on May 19, 2018, celebrated their seven-year wedding anniversary with a secret trip for just the two of them.
According to Hello!, the former Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent their anniversary at a romantic spa in Arizona. Their trip came at the same time as Meghan shared an Instagram post in honor of her and Harry celebrating seven years of marriage. “Seven years of marriage. A lifetime of stories. Thanks to all of you (whether by our side, or from afar) who have loved and supported us throughout our love story – we appreciate you. Happy anniversary! ❤️,” she captioned a collage of the two, along with their two children: daughter Lilibet Diana and son Archie Harrison.

Harry and Meghan’s anniversary also comes a month after the Suits alum subtly shut down rumors she and her husband were divorcing in an interview on “The Jamie Kern Lima Show” podcast.
“He’s such a great partner. I feel that every day in how supportive he’s been and is, but I didn’t know he said that, so that’s really nice,” she said. “That man loves me so much and, you know, look what we’ve built. We’ve built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children.”

She continued, “I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Brothers and you get to the final final level, and what’s the goal in Super Mario Brothers? Slay the dragon, save the princess. I’m like, that’s my husband. He’s just out there constantly… going to do whatever he can to make sure our family is safe and protected and uplifted, and still make time for date nights.”
She also maintained that her and Harry’s relationship is just as strong now as when they first started dating. “You have to imagine, at the beginning, everyone has butterflies, and then we immediately went into the trenches together right out of the gate, six months into dating,” she said. “So now, seven years later when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way, and that’s why I feel like it’s more of a honeymoon period for us now.”
Meghan’s comment about her and Harry’s marriage also came as Princess Diana’s former butler, Paul Burrell, told The Daily Mail that he believed the Sussex’s relationship was real, despite their skeptics. “Despite pressures on their marriage and lifestyle, I personally think there are no signs of divorce because Harry would lose too much,” he said.
Burell also stated that he believed the two have found a “balance” which works both for both their marriage and brand, as he believes the couple share “a common goal to make themselves as rich as possible,” as seen with the recent premiere of Meghan’s Netflix show, With Love, Meghan.
Meghan and Harry’s anniversary also comes amid his fallout with his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William, over his relationship with Meghan and—more recently—his interview with the BBC in which he blamed his father for the end of their relationship.
“Prince Harry is the king’s flesh and blood, so of course he would like some sort of reconciliation with his youngest son,” British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News in May 2025. “However, it’s been over five years since Megxit, and still, Prince Harry is full of animosity. Prince Harry has blown all trust and any reconciliation with his father and the royal family for the moment.”
He continued, “This, at the heart of it, is a family dispute.”
British royal expert Hilary Fordwich also claimed that it’s “extremely unlikely” Harry and Charles will reconcile in the near future. “Harry has destroyed any trust with his public airing of grievances in his security dispute, as this is a constitutional matter,” Fordwich said.
She continued, “King Charles cannot have a private conversation with his wayward son without the fear of Harry revealing to the media the content of such a private family discussion. There is no sign of reconciliation. Harry’s statements reflect a sense of resignation regarding the lamentable state of their relationship, which remains deeply fractured.”
She went on to explain how Harry has severed ties with his family. “Harry has willingly and knowingly caused pain and public damage via his actions, so the royal family views him as a ‘loose cannon,’ hence their reluctance to engage with him further,” she said. “In particular, his public comments regarding his father’s health and security were viewed as highly inappropriate, as well as counterproductive.”
