Winning the next election will be near impossible if Labour ever campaigns on a remotely ‘rejoin’ or ‘softening’ of Brexit message.
If he can’t reverse brexit, maybe we should reverse him
Keir Starmer is great at pointing out problems with things, and not so great at suggesting solutions.
>He said: “We can’t reverse Brexit. There’s no case for rejoining the EU.
Either thick a fuck or lying his ass off because he believes he needn’t be honest – neither of which is good.
What does labour offer that’s worth voting for other than not being the tories?
We can reverse Brexit. If there’s another Scottish indy ref, there should be another EU ref.
rejoining SM and CU could be a worthwhile aim. A few farmers and fishermen have to go bankrupt first.
Does anyone seriously think the EU would entertain going through 5 years of negotiation again just because the UK has had a change of government? And business wouldn’t thank him for another few years of an unstable trading context.
So as much as I hate Brexit, the job now is about negotiating away the worst of effects for both sides, rather than rewinding it back completely.
Starmer is pragmatic, and has got the bottle not to lie to the electorate even under pressure from his own side.
Perhaps the narrative needs to be “fix Brexit”? Perhaps we need to focus on Tories failing to give us those sunlit uplands, focus on how Tories have been too busy stealing money with corruption to focus on the delivering Brexit. Then we can move on to blame Tories for the Brexit failures and say that Tories forced us to choose lesser deals as we bridge the divide.

If only the Shadow Brexit secretary during Corbyn leadership thought of that, WHO was that idiot appointed by Corbyn anyway? Must be a treasonous snake.

Had Labour campaigned on Brexit, and delivering one done by the party of the working class for the people of the working classes, Corbyn might had won the election.
