My carnivorous bbq heart bleeds but shouldn’t they try to plant corn and grain instead of animals if they really worry about our foodsupply?
Ik hoor geen enkel rationeel argument tegen de maatregel. Enkel drama, emo en kreten.
Zet die KBC-miljarden aan ‘t werk in een studie die alternatieven voorlegt voor de huidige maatregelen of op zijn minst uitlegt waarom ze niet deugen, zodat je betere argumenten kan voorleggen dan “als ik mijn broodwinning moet aanpassen aan de realiteit zal ik de hongerdood sterven”, terwijl de hele geschiedenis, en misschien zelfs de essentie, van de landbouw er net een is van je aanpassen aan veranderende omstandigheden.
Blijkbaar is “Als ik die plant kruis met die plant, is mijn oogst beschermd tegen die ziekte” op een bepaald moment vervangen door “Als ik mijn zin niet krijg ram ik een trekker door je pui”.

Well they are right about one thing, the current way is indeed untenable. The way they are doing things today that is. They need to stop poisoning the environment. They’ve known this for decades but refused to adapt. Perhaps it is time they did.
Funny how when it comes to this, most agree it’s sad for farmers but something must happen and we also have to consider the environment.
When it comes to any measure or situation with respect to consumers… the debate seems a lot more lively 😉
The flemish gov has managed this exceptionally badly yet again. Also shows how eventually our other “ecorealist” policies will end up. A sudden but necessary 180, with a lot of people being worse off than if we had a more gradual approach. Oh well, it’s our culture I suppose.
