Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed a pipe leaking in the sea near where I live in Fornebu (Norway). It looks like it’s either discharging something or sucking in water – hard to tell exactly, but it doesn’t seem normal and it’s definitely coming from an underwater pipe.

I’m not sure who to report this to or how serious it might be. Does anyone have experience with this or know the right authority to contact? Could be environmental or municipal. Any help or advice would be really appreciated!

  6. I had a look around some maps and areal protos, looks like and outlet pipe of some sort that ends at that location. Since it ends that would probably indicate something is supposed to come out of it sometimes, but as others have mentioned you could call someone to make sure. I’ll suggest Bærum kommune, vann og avløpsetataten (or something along those lines), there should be a “vakttelefon” number for things like this and they are more likely to have the local knowledge to say if it’s normal or not.

  7. I’ve reported this before. It has to do with a cooling system at Telenor. Sometimes the weight on the pipe isn’t enough to keep it down. You can report it to Bærum Kommune, e.g. Vann og Avløp https://www.baerum.kommune.no/dognapne-vakttjenester/

    Good to report it since happens occasionally and should be fixed.

  9. You can contact Extinction Rebellion. They probably would do something 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  10. Call VG and Dagbladet. Since it’s close to Oslo, they might send a journalist and do the work to find the responsible. Make sure send a selfie where you look disappointed or at the gym. If you’re good looking they more likely will post it for clicks.
