The US economic outlook remains stronger than Europe despite sweeping policy uncertainty causing ripples across the economy, according to Citigroup Inc. Chief Executive Officer Jane Fraser.
“There’s nothing like being in Europe to make you feel a bit better about the US,” Fraser said at a financial conference hosted by Bernstein on Thursday.
In a wide-ranging interview, the Wall Street executive said many European CEOs are skeptical that European Union officials will pursue proposals for a capital markets union and drive economic growth — despite some bright spots in Germany.
