  1. Should cover half the mouth too. You can only talk about cutting gov functions. You can never mention raising taxes on the oligarchs.

  2. Unless a Democrat is President. Then they know all about the deficit.

  3. Why the hell are Republicans always just allowed to fuck up the country?

  4. “I haven’t heard about that. I don’t know anything about it, and I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to comment on it when this is the first time I’ve heard of it. In fact, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for trying to politicize an issue like this.” – every republican

  5. Republicans whenever they are in power and asked about ~~the national debt~~ literally anything they criticized when Democrats were in power.

  6. “National debt? This is the first time I hear about it. I won’t comment since I never heard of it and need to do my own research.”

  7. Just going to add another 5-20 trillion. As a treat.

  8. The standard response when passing a massive tax cut: “Our policies are so pro-growth that we’ll actually raise more revenue than we lose!”

  9. It pisses me off how they will fight against universal healthcare or infrastructure projects due to “price concerns”, yet they have spent:

[1 trillion dollars](https://www.aclu.org/end-the-war-on-drugs) since 1970 on the War on Drugs

[8 trillion dollars](https://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/costs/economic) since 2001 on the War on Terror

[1.9 trillion dollars](https://www.cbpp.org/research/federal-tax/the-2017-trump-tax-law-was-skewed-to-the-rich-expensive-and-failed-to-deliver) from 2017 onwards for Trump’s first set of tax cuts

[5.3 trillion possible](https://www.crfb.org/blogs/permanent-ways-means-bill-could-add-53-trillion-deficits) with Trump’s 2025 Tax Cuts For The Rich By Cutting Important Social Services Act

  10. trump added more to the national debt than Obama … and in half the time. Plus, what was added was trump’s doing as opposed to the majority of debt under Obama was related to Bush era policies (wars, tax cuts, Medicare Part D) and events (2008 recession and housing crisis).

  11. Don’t worry, they can just blame democrats few years from now for all the debt.

  12. National debt! You mean cutting taxes for the rich.

National debt shows up when Dems are elected bro.

  13. When I figured out how fiscally shit Republicans are in practice, I quit voting for Libertarians.
