Walked past this shop earlier and though it was weird they still had posters for sale from the Jubilee in 2002.
Looked it up on Street View and they've been there since at least the first capture in July 2008. The first image is July 2024, the second August 2012 and the third July 2008.

I often wonder how these survive in such prestigious places, the profit can’t be much on the items and the lease on the property must be astronomical. I can only assume they were leased on generous long terms 30-40 years ago, or the owners of the shop also own the freehold on the building.
And what typeface says ‘London’ more than Peignot, squished a bit narrower 😆

Any bets this is the exit to a tunnel from the Palace or something similar for exits in an emergency or for entry without anyone knowing.
Service wash anyone?
Are you sure there is actually a shop inside?
Spend your tourist money here and not on those fake money laundering stores that open up every time a brick and mortar store goes bust.
No surprise they’re next door neighbours with Palace Restaurant which is infamous for its one star rating.
Those shops have been there since the 90’s at least and probably older
Can you look at backdated pics on street view?
