They’re 100% right. Their products are sold on Open Distribution such as Mouser / Digikey. There is zero they can do to prevent these going to Russia.
Mouser and Digikey are US headquartered companies and cannot export into Russia. I would guess that the sales are to another country and parts imported illegally into Russia.
Unfortunately, once parts are in the distributors hands there is very little the manufacturer can do to control where they end up.
…guess the Russians appreciate a well made quality product. Lets hope the Americans don’t put tariffs on it, to *bring manufacturing home*….
Intelligence services need to get on top of this across Europe to track batches and be able to trace back components to supply routes.
