Never forget the sacrifices this legend made, all in the name of entertainment.

  1. new series was doomed to fail with his absence, creativity and fun is more important than a finals with 6 drum spinners

  2. Was this little Robot called Nemesis or Diator? 🤔

  3. In flames every single time, regardless of whether the other robot had flame-throwing capability.

  4. Christ, there’s a memory. I think it was The Simpsons at 6 and then Robot Wars. I used to love that programme.

  5. One of the most beautiful creations on the show imo

I’ve still got my sons r/c house bots! They still work, too

  6. Chaos 2 my goat. The flippers in general always made for the most entertaining fights, and Chaos 2 always seemed to have the strongest flipper.

  7. Loved Diator, anyone remember its moment of glory when it somehow beat Tornado (which we all agree was the most boring robot)

  8. So years ago now, well before Covid, I did a regular pub quiz. One of the people brought along a mate. We chatted for a while and then time came to come up with a team name. My mate says ‘oh well it has to be Chaos 2’. Turns out the mate’s mate was Me Chaos 2!

  9. What was the one that used to arrive in a limo with all its crew acting like butlers/bodyguards?

    Such a great show

  10. Robot Wars is on one of those perpetual channels on PlutoTV if anyone is interested

  11. One of my old managers appeared on it. He’d made it out of a whisky cask so naturally the thing was set on fire

  12. Did Sir K once pick it up and hold it over one of the flame traps or am I misremembering?

  13. I played the hell out of the Robot Wars game on PlayStation. Was quite an evening when I’d been told in school, the cheat (set your name to Jonathan Pearce) for unlimited money to make any robot you wanted.

  14. When this one entered the arena, you know Sgt Bash was gonna be one of the house robots.

  15. It had a great legacy too, with competitors having pieces of its pelt on various robots (and about their person) for years.

  16. Plenty of reasons to not like the BBC but the fact they cancelled this show twice is definitely up there
