Inevitable happened, I forgot to place my parking disk, been away for 30 minutes and got a yellow paper under the wiper. That was my first “offense”, so I mindlessly paid 60 euros without a doubt. Then I started thinking about and realized that it could easily be a fraud: I just transferred money to some bank account.
Two days after got an sms, saying that fine hasn’t been paid with a link to some .com site. That one is obviously looks fake, so I ignored it, and now I more certain that yellow slip from “ParkkiPate” was also fake.
Question is, for the next time. how should I know how that the fine is real?

The only way to be 100% sure is to call them with the ID number in the fine. But I personally haven’t heard of anyone forging these, so I would guess that this is real.
That is a private fine from some private parking site. Those have a sign with the conditions listed in the entryway.
Parkkipate is a legit company, but you could compare it against the conditions.
More info here:

This is Reddit, not Parkkipate customer support, so call them instead!
Did you use the reference number when you paid the bill?
Looks legit Parkkipate ”fine”
Remember to use refence number ”Viitenumero” when paying, thats the only way that payment registers in their system.
If you have paid already you can call their customer service and figure that out.
The yellow receipt seems real enough, but you can verify by checking the details at their website with your Asianro and registration plate. They seem to be using a .fi domain instead of .com, so IDK what the link in the SMS is supposed to be, unless their payment operator has a different domain. Either way, I would ignore that SMS as the payment could take a couple of business days to register.
Call the customer support.
Also did you remember to put in “viitenumero”, if you did not, you can contact them and inform them that you forgot to put it in. They’ll most likely sort it out after that.
I am sorry, but I honestly don’t understand why you think this ticket is ”fake.”
The business practices of private parking companies are very questionable, but you parked your car in a place they patrol, so you will face consequences.
If you don’t pay, you will most likely face them in court, and that is going to be very costly if you actually committed that violation.
If you go to [reclamation link](https://reklamaatio.parkkipate.fi/) and input your asianumero and your cars registration number on there and it will show the pictures that the parkkipate guy has taken. If it can’t find the case then maybe call to them? If it’s a fake one it wouldn’t show up on there.
If you own the vehicle, get an automatic “parkkikiekko”. 30 euroes saves itself quite easily. Just need to remember change the battery when the red light blinks.
But yeah, that’s not a scam ticket.
Easy to tell if its real or fake. Just Google the IBAN. In this case the real Parkkipate website is a result for searching that bank account number, so it isn’t a random person’s account on a pretend parking ticket.
Looks fake.
Looks legit. Does the paper feel like paper or does it feel like it would have like fabric fiber in it.
Either way, I did a no no few months ago and got one myself. Used the paper for a cat toy cause as soon as my cat saw it, she started playing with it.
Technically it’s not a “parking fine” only police and municipalities can issue those.
It’s a bill for a breach of contract, a bit on the grey area of law.
Had one before looks real to me.
One more reason for the SMS to be fake, your parkkipate due date is still almost 2 weeks away
Looks like the vultures signature, yes.
It is fake. Don’t pay it..
The SMS could also be legit, because it takes a few days for the bank transfer to “go through”
