Remi, who assisted the troops from 9 to 24 May, studied at both Runshaw College and UCLan receiving a sports therapy degree.

The 26-year-old said: “I always wanted to go into a medical role and my mum and dad are beyond proud of me.”

The main role of Remi as a 2 Medical Regiment was to provide medical support on short notice and support the mass transit of troops.

When asked about the highlight of her time in the army, she said: “Definitely the socialising, meeting new people and friends and the travel, providing medical cover for people in need.”
