If Ukraine really had advance notice of Putin’s intention to fly around Kursk and knew his timings and flightpath, would they try and target him with drones? I don’t know? I could see drone being part of a distraction possibly, or would they hundreds at him? or would they look for a more reliable stand off missile or ten?

Chances are that their flights will be hit by own defenses, even such used for evacuation of high level personnel, as other planes have. Chances are that this will not stop Ukrainians from sending drones. Furthermore, such an event may be used for escalation.
