The light in my bathroom and the mirror make me look a lot better than I do when out and about.
It’s because what you see on the camera isn’t mirrored, so you’re not used to your non-mirrored face. Same deal if you take a picture of yourself with the back camera on your phone as opposed to the selfie one.
