Who doesn’t love a good, punchy spotlight to help light all types of projects? Astera is set to debut the company’s new QuickPunch, an accurate, fast, and efficient new wireless spotlight with a Fresnel lens that is set to feature a 13º–60º zoom, zero stray light, and delivers 8,000 lux at 3 meters

This new Astera QuickPunch will only need just 75W of power (650 W equivalent) and should be a nice and flexible investment option for those looking for versatile support. Here’s what you need to know about this new light option.

The Astera QuickPunch

Designed for maximum output and featuring the equivalent of a 200 W LED PAR for stage use while delivering 4.5 hours of maximum runtime, the QuikPunch is one of the most energy-efficient Spotlights ever made. It’s also been uniquely designed to prepare for easy and quick operation thanks to its battery-driven PrepBox and its ChargingPlate.

The QuikPunch also doesn’t just feature a 13º–60º zoom range; it is also optimized for a sharper, easier-to-control optical footprint. It also outputs a zero-spill, an accurate beam, and can work as a traditional 650 W Fresnel spotlight when the EdgeSoftener filter is added.

Overall, the QuickPunch promises to be really bright, and—with its 60º beam angle—should make it an excellent wash light to evenly light large surfaces. Also, unlike traditional Fresnels, QuikPunch will further allow users to accurately cut the light via barn doors even at 45º, so no need to flood it to get a sharp and controlled beam shape.
