1. I really hope they reverse course. This is an insult to the religion and culture, and is just outright theft. If they want a tourist attraction, maybe they can come up with a compromise where there’s a museum associated with the monastery that has artefacts and lessons while leaving the main monestary as is. Maybe they can arrange occassional tours of parts of the grounds.
