Think about the starving Republicans…

  1. And they get free healthcare for life.

Edit: This should read “hugely discounted healthcare.” After doing research, they get their care at 72-75% discount.

  2. Unfortunately that’s not a Republican’s or USA’s exclusive, it’s the same with all major political parties here in Europe.

    Politicians, what else…

  3. This country is so corrupt it’s sickening. Yet a good amount of those poor kids’ families think it really means “illegal aliens” starve instead of them. Bigotry is the weapon of the elite to keep the working class divided.

  4. Wow I didn’t expect that from a bunch of older white racists…

  5. Who is on the top right? Looks like Bill Engvalls “Dorkfish”

  6. I guess these folks are for child abuse…that surely wins their vote

  7. Why do politicians need a handout for lunch money?

My spouse works for the federal government and she has to bring or buy her own lunch.

  8. Plus they think their ‘low’ salary justifies their insider trading schemes.

  9. If only there was a government agency in charge of eliminating wasteful spending…

  10. So, in doing the math, ending the food per diem for the 535 elected members of congress would fund the SNAP benefits for over 7,044 children.

    I’m all for that.

  11. Civil servant benefits should be mathematically tied to the poorest of their constituents so that whenever they do badly, they get punished, and the benefits should be measured in contribution to stability or long term gains rather than short increments.

  12. the bad news is, our tax payer dollars pay these bastards to make sh*tty decisions. politics ain’t what it used to was🙃

  13. I can’t imagine how much $$$ food they’re getting from lobbyists too. Free dinners etc.

  14. Why do Republican voters want to cut medicare and SNAP to give tax cuts for billionaires?

    Make it make sense.

  15. Good grief that one guy on the bottom looks like a mid 80’s Jimmy Carter.

  16. Wait, didn’t the SOTH declare the rest of this legislative year as “all one day?” If so, they get their $79 and no more!

  17. Not to mention the money they make under the table, the “donations” (bribes), insider trading, and the money that gets funneled through family friends and offshore or Delaware llc’s that ends their pockets.

  18. I hear the Republicans are saying that “We are all gonna die.” I’m sure this is their thinking on these children…and the rest of us.

  19. Is this from a ‘Slow Children’ school crossing sign?

Most of these guys look like they have “”DNA Issues””.

  20. I think the real issue is insider trading and lobbying that allow their wealth to grow far beyond their salary. It’s like pointing to the 400k a year through president makes while the Moron in Chief’s net worth has soared by 3 billion.

But in a just world, congressmen would make the median income for their state and would only be allowed to invest in broad market indexes. But they’d have to pass laws that harm their finances.

  21. my personal favorite is they claim “we need to be able to trade stocks to feed our family” Maybe if you can’t feed your family on 147,000 a year you should stop going to starbucks and eating avocado toast.

  22. They get their salary and ALL benefits for life after only being in office five years. It’s why those that leave after 5+ years never have to work again, they don’t need too.
