I assume this is the company skirting around copyright laws and the costume is actually a famous character? Brilliant generic name though.
I think I’ll be the only one who gets the joke – it’s a play on the old advert “Be who you want to be: B-A-R-B-I-E”, but rhyming. Bit taboo though, is this joke 🤣
It’s a common theme for primary school. School trips related to WWII oftne require period outfits, as well as WWII related class topics, VE day, Remembrance day etc. That’s probably why it’s in the charity shop – when the school trip to Duxford comes round people are clamouring for an evacuee costume for the day and don’t need it again.
TBF, having had young kids and the last minute notice from schools for special day celebrations, this sort of thing has come in handy a few times..
