Last August I hiked 600km from Glasgow to Cape Wrath with a group of folk I had never met before with a mission to make the most ambitious film I had ever been a part of. It was one of the most physically and mentally challenging, yet rewarding, things I’ve ever done and by the end of the six weeks living out of tents and carrying everything we needed to survive and shoot the scenes, I built bonds that would usually take years to develop.

So if you are looking for something to watch this weekend please consider checking out The North (which has just went live to purchase) and support an independent film maker.

It got 4/5 stars from The Guardian – www.theguardian.com/film/2025/may/28/the-north-review-old-friends-trek-through-the-highlands-might-be-the-ultimate-hiking-film

But please dont forget to leave a review if you enjoyed 🙂

  2. That is a fucking awesome post! Congrats on the film! I’ll buy it, but…please explain how I buy it and then watch it on my ‘big’ tv? Or, am I best to just buy it on my laptop? Sorry for being shit with technology.

  3. Yeah, but did you do it again in reverse, just to fall down at someone’s door?
