  1. Erdogan is a tyrant. Turkey should be boycotted and sanctioned until Erdogan agrees to leave power.

  2. Trump is sure to do this right before an election and say “we will sort it out soon.”

  3. Dear westerners, Take your lesson from Turkey’s case, which was staunchly secular country for 80 years before erd*an’s rule.

This is what happens when you give opportunity to islamists. Even the progressive  ones are the same, since Erd*gan himself marketed himself as “moderate and progressive muslim” for years. He was even pro lgbt in that duration. ( islamist candidates in US also pulled this trick to get LGBTs support (source below))

There is no single country in the history, where an islamist government leaves its seat with democracy/elections. Since the muslims are ordered to spread islam to the whole world in quran, every action serving for muslims rule is legit and acceptable for them.

Morocco had the only islamist party who lost elections and left the seat, because it is not democracy but kingdom, so this doesnt count.

  4. Elections in Turkey over the past decade have been rigged. Erdogan systematically sidelined genuine challengers, allowing only divisive or weakened opposition figures to enter the race.

Even under these conditions, he has never secured more than 52% of the vote—hardly a mandate for someone claiming to represent the whole country.

He has no future, he is old, he is declining physically and mentally. He will have no legacy, he could have some if he had left 10 years ago, he missed that.

  5. Is there any reason the west should continue to back Erdogan in 2025? I feel like Turkey’s scant geopolitical relevance does not justify the EU and USA’s continued support for this autocrat.

  6. Turkey has fallen. Insane I never see this make the news

  7. An autocrat arrested opposition members. Color me surprised!

  8. Turkey is a beautiful country, but I’m not going to visit while Erdogan is in power. Which may be a long, lomng time. He jails his opponents, he is anti-LGBT, and he hosts Hamas leaders within Turkey.

  9. I feel like his involvement in India Pakistan conflict was a distraction to whatever political meltdown the country is going through.

Didn’t he basically halt their economy because his people pleaser policy that interest was against Islamic values?

These people would radicalise entire generation and fight deadly wars than accept their mistakes.

  10. Turkish people are some of the friendliest people with a very liberal outlook on life. So sad to see them suffer under this tyrant mf. They deserve better.

  11. They taking lessons from their brother, a military dictatorship pakistan!
