Hi community!

I was sick of those bloated, complex, ad-spammed websites showing the public holidays of Switzerland. So I built a modern and clean alternative myself to see when I have the day off in my canton.

  1. Suggestion: subscribe option via email, 1 week before the user receives a email. I can help with the backend.

  3. Nice! If possible, you could refine it to show for each Gemeinde. For example the data for the canton of Solothurn is only of limited use because of all the “teils gesetzlich” which leaves me just as uninformed as I already was.

    Not sure if this data is easily obtainable though.

  7. In Geneva the Jeûne Genevois (11/9) and the Réstauration de la République (31/12) are missing

  8. Google calendar already has an option for all the national and cantonal holidays.

    What would really be cool is a calendar feed with school holidays (they’re differing across the country).
