  1. It does sound annoying to have to adjust your living because of some guy’s wedding. Probably doesn’t even bring in loads of extra money, its not like Venice is starving for tourists.

    I doubt that the average Venetian business owner will benefit. Its not like Bezos’ guests are going to be flooding local restaurants and cafes.

  4. not only he hoarded all the taxes money that could pay for education and health care in his own country, now he is using those very money to trash a world heritage site and bother people of another country

  5. 500 million dollars!! Think of all the good he could do! He could help find a cure for cancer!
    Instead he’s inconveniencing thousands of people in Venice and at the height of the tourist season!

  6. Can spend $500 million on a wedding, but will still neuter the Washington Post and make it go through layoffs because he’s too much of a coward to cross Trump.

  9. Is this even legal? All those security measures, limiting free movement, using police as a private security force because some random rich guy wants to have a party doesn´t strike me as the right thing to do.

  14. Why in the absolute fuck should anyone accept this?
    This brings nothing positive to anyone. Any official who approved any part of this should be voted out or even booted out of office.
    I’m not even going to mention what I think needs to be done to those mega yachts (it starts with torp and ends with edoes)
